We define "Molecular Evolution" to mean the creation of molecular function by evolutionary means.  The Molecular Evolution Affinity Group meets approximately biweekly to provide a forum for presentations and discussions among scientists from Scripps and elsewhere who study and use evolution in biology, medicine, and the laboratory.  Much of the Affinity Group's activities are organized and run by the student members of the Molecular Evolution Training Program.
